It is inside my K.B. Kiwi business that the bulk of my graphic design work comes into play. It all started with the logo and then in the early days of nerdy furniture flipping, figuring out how to take something I created digitally and transfer onto a piece of furniture.
From creating seamless patterns as backgrounds, digital photo collages, learning how to lino cut (both physically and digitally), to hand lettering for my jackets and prints, and then turning my jackets into art prints, my art really runs the gambit on what I’ve created.
I’ve also had to be creative when faced with various challenges within a medium. Sometimes, for instance, creating a second variation on the same design to work around the limitation of a specific printer or final product.
Finally, here’s where my product photography skills also come into play to show off the final item in a way that makes each piece shine. This is helpful for me to think about from the pre-production stage of a design as well to ensure it is everything fits the brand of feminine, but strong.
